New Delhi: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has begun the registration process for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2023 from today, May 05. Interested and eligible candidates can register for TNEA 2023 by submitting their application forms on the official website i.e., tneaonline.org. Candidates must note that the TNEA 2023 registration window will close on June 04, 2023.

After the compilation of TNEA 2023 Application Process, the admit card will be available for the candidates. TNEA is a counselling process conducted by Anna University each year for admissions into the engineering and related technology courses in the Tamil Nadu state.

TNEA counselling is a Unified Single Window Admission System only for Indian nationals. The courses offered through the online counselling process are BE/BTech and BE (sandwich). According to the schedule, TNEA counselling is offered online in 4 rounds. Depending on their rank, candidates are required to take part in the corresponding rounds.

Candidates whose names appeared on the TNEA 2023 Cut Off list are eligible for TNEA 2023 counselling, once the results are announced. The class 12th exams results will be used to select the students for TNEA counselling in 2023.

TNEA Registration 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must check and fulfill the TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria before filling out the application form:

General Eligibility	Candidates from Tamil Nadu who have completed grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are exempt from submitting a nativity proof. Candidates from states other than Tamil Nadu who have completed classes 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 must provide a birth certificate. Parents' employment certificates must be submitted for children or wards of Central Government employees who have worked continuously in Tamil Nadu for the previous five years. Candidates must provide proof of their parents' job if they have parents who are All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers. Any Srilankan Tamil Refugee applicant must submit an identification certificate from headquarters.
Age Limit	No age restriction applies. However, candidates for marine engineering cannot be older than 25.
Qualification	Candidates must have passed class 12 or HSC from an accredited board. Physics, mathematics, and chemistry are the mandatory subjects for TNEA 2023. The candidates must have obtained at least a 45% (General) and 40% (MBC & DNC, SC/SCA/ST, and Backward Class, including Backward Class Muslims) score. Candidates for marine engineering must have completed class 12 with at least a 60% marks in aggregate with PCM and at least 50% marks in English.

Step 1: Visit the official website of TNEA 2023 @tneaonline.org.

Step 2: Now, select the link available for “Online Registration”.

Step 3: Register by providing the required details and obtain a Registration number/Login ID and Password.

Step 4: Next, Log in and fill the personal and academic details in the application form and attach the required documents.

Step 5: After ensuring all the information entered is correct and relevant, submit the form and pay the application fee through debit/credit card/UPI and other payment online options.

Step 6: Take a printout of the filled application form or save it as a soft copy for future references.
