Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Invites Applications for PhD Admission 2026; TRAT to Be Held on January 10

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) has officially announced the commencement of its Doctorate Programmes for the academic year 2026. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications for various PhD specialisations before December 26, 2025, marking the final registration deadline.

The admission process will include the TMU Research Admission Test (TRAT) 2026, which is slated to be conducted on January 10, 2026. This entrance test is mandatory for all applicants seeking admission to the university’s doctoral programs. TMU’s PhD offerings cover a diverse range of disciplines, enabling scholars to engage in advanced research and contribute to innovation across multiple fields.

TMU PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria

All eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written test- TMU Research Aptitude Test (TRAT), and an Interview for admission to Ph.D. programme to be conducted by the University. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/CSIR-NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Teacher fellowship.

The candidate has to apply online on the website of the University admissions.tmu.ac.in. The completed application form, along with the necessary documents and a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2000, must be submitted online.

The University offers a research fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month in all faculties except Medicine. For the faculty of Medicine, it is Rs. 30,000 per month.
