To be eligible for the SVSU Palwal PhD program, candidates require a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade as recognized by the university or regulatory bodies. There is a 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST, BC (non-creamy layer), differently-abled, and Economically Weaker Section candidates.

Candidates with a 4-year bachelor’s degree seeking admission must have at least 75% marks, with a similar relaxation allowed for reserved categories. M.Phil degree holders with at least 55% marks also qualify.

SC candidates get a 10% reservation from the state quota, which makes 8.5% of the total intake. Along with fee concessions, relaxation in minimum marks, and reservation of seats, these provisions support SC/ST candidates in pursuing research at SVSU.

The admission process involves an online application through the university’s website svsu.ac.in with no need to send a physical copy. Candidates qualifying UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, and GATE tests are admitted based on an interview carrying 30% weightage combined with 70% weightage for NET/GATE scores.

Entrance tests allow for 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/EWS and other reserved categories. After the merit list publication, candidates called for interviews must attend in person for eligibility verification and seat allotment.
