Suresh Wamangir Gosavi Appointed as New VC of Savitribai Phule Pune University; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Dr Suresh Gosavi and Dr Ravindra Kulkarni have been appointed as the Vice Chancellors of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Mumbai University (MU), respectively, as per the Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais's office. Governor is the chancellor of public universities in the state.

Further, Dr. Sanjay Bhave was appointed as the new VC of Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, a tweet from the Governor's office said. Dr. Kulkarni is a senior professor at the Institutes of Chemical Technology while Dr. Gosavi served as a faculty member at COEP and has held various administrative positions throughout his career.

Dr. Bhave serves as head of the department at Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth. Gosavi has actively contributed to the academic and research landscape. His areas of expertise include renewable energy, energy management, and sustainable development. Dr. Gosavi will bring a strong vision for the Mumbai university’s overall growth and development.
