Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University (SRU) Raipur is inviting applications for admission to various PhD programs (Jan 2025 Session) under Exempted Category. The last date to complete the online application form is January 15, 2025. The entrance examination will be conducted on January 30, 2025.

SRU Raipur PhD Eligibility
Candidates interested in pursuing PhD from SRU Raipur must meet the following mentioned eligibility criteria:
- He/ She has obtained a Master's degree with not less than 55% marks in aggregate, 50% in case of SC/ST/ OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ PWD/ Candidates in their respective discipline/ subjects.
SRU Raipur PhD Admission Procedure
The University shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test conducted by it. The Academic Council of the University shall decide separate terms and conditions:
- The University shall admit students who qualify for fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET (JRF/ without JRF/ Admission to PhD only)/ GATE/ GPAT/ CEED/ SLET and similar National-level tests, based on an interview.
And/or
- The University shall admit students through an Entrance Test conducted at the university level.
- The Entrance Test syllabus shall consist of 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific content.
- Students who secure 50% marks in the Entrance Test are eligible to be called for the interview.
- A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the Entrance Examination for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, differently-abled categories, EWS, and other categories
- The University shall decide the number of eligible students to be called for an interview based on the number of PhD seats available.
- Provided that for the selection of candidates based on the Entrance Test conducted by the University, a weightage of 70% for the Entrance Test and 30% for the performance in the interview/ viva voce shall be given.
- The University shall maintain a year-wise list of registered/enrolled PhD students on its website, which will include
- Name of the registered candidate
- The topic of his/her research
- The name of his/her supervisor/co-supervisor
- The date of enrollment/registration
