Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), located on Lucknow-Deva Road (Barabanki), has begun its admission process for the 2026-27 academic session across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
The university is offering merit-based scholarships and conducting its institutional entrance test, SMRUSET, for various disciplines. Candidates can apply both online or offline, with the university emphasizing a smooth and transparent process for all applicants.
SMRU Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For UG programs at SRMU, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). For technical courses like B.Tech, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Computer Science. Admission is based on merit or SMRUSET scores.
For PG admissions, applicants need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Courses such as MBA or M.Tech may also accept valid GATE, CUET-PG, or SMRUSET scores. Final selection is merit or entrance-based.
For PhD programs, candidates must hold a Master’s or M.Phil degree with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL). Admission is granted through the SMRUSET entrance test and interview, following UGC guidelines.
How to Apply for SMRU Admission 2026
Applicants can begin the admission process online by visiting the official SRMU website and selecting the “Apply Now” option.
Here’s how you can apply online
- Visit studentportal.srmu.ac.in and click on the “Online Admission Form.”
- Register using your mobile number, click on “Send OTP”, verify it, and log in to the student dashboard.
- Fill in the General Information section and save all details correctly.
- Upload required documents (marksheets, ID proof, photos, etc.).
- Pay the Application Fee, ₹500 for Diploma and ₹1,000 for all other programs.
- Pay the Registration Fee (₹10,000 or more) to confirm your application.
- Complete payment via UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Card.
Applicants must ensure all data is accurate before submission, as incomplete or incorrect forms may be rejected. However, if you want to process your application offline, then here’s how you can apply offline:
SRMU also allows students to apply through its Offline Admission Process. The university’s Career Counselling Cell helps students identify their strengths and choose suitable programs.
- Visit the university campus or city admission office.
- Carry educational certificates, Aadhaar card, two passport-size photos, and photocopies of documents.
- Meet the assigned counsellor to learn about programs, fees, payment plans, and campus facilities.
- Pay the Admission Form Fee of ₹1,000 via cash/card/online.
- Enroll by paying 30% of the first-year course fee as the first installment.
Students may also request a campus tour before finalizing enrollment.
