Candidates must show their date of birth or similar certificate, as well as mark sheets and certificates of qualifying degrees, during the Silicon University PhD program interview.

Silicon University Merit List

Silicon University has announced a list of qualifying PhD program interview candidates for January 2025 PhD admission. Candidates whose names appear on the list must prepare an article (journal/conference) or a research topic of their choice for a 10-15-minute presentation before the interview panel, which can be delivered using a PowerPoint presentation or on a board.

Silicon University PhD Program Interview Details

Candidates who have their name on the Silicon University Merit List for PhD program must read the Interview Details below:

  • Interview dates and times have not yet been announced; however, the University will notify you soon.
  • Candidates must prepare an article (journal/conference) or choose a research topic of interest for a 10-15-minute presentation to the interview panel.
  • The presentation can be done using PowerPoint, a blackboard, or a whiteboard.
  • The expert panel will assess competency for the proposed research, research aptitude, teamwork skills, and motivation to complete the program.
  • Candidates must provide an original copy of all required documents such as their name, age, qualification, caste, and proof of income.

Silicon University PhD Program Selection Criteria

Candidates can find the selection criteria for the Silicon University PhD program below:

  • According to UGC standards, the entrance test is weighted 70% and the performance in the personal interview is weighted 30% when applying for a PhD program.
  • The interview will be worth 30 points, with a passing score of 15.

Silicon University PhD Program Documents Required

Candidates must have the following documents at the time of interview:

  • Date of birth or comparable certificate.
  • Marksheets and certificates for qualifying degrees
  • Experience certificate, if any
  • Passport-sized photo and signature
  • Caste certificate (to obtain caste benefits)
