Sharda University is inviting applications for admission to its PhD program (Full-time and Part-time) for the January 2025 batch. The last date to apply is December 21, 2024. However, the entrance test will be conducted on January 18, 2025.

Sharda University PhD Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate must have a PG degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized Indian / foreign university in the respective discipline with a score of minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA.
• A candidate with a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme with research (as per NEP 2020) should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade along with at least one SCI/SCOPUS/WOS/PubMed research paper published/accepted.
• Clearing the online examination of Sharda University followed by an interview.
• Candidates with valid NET/GATE/SET/UET scores and any other equivalent test conducted by GOI accredited agency are exempted from the entrance test but have to appear for an interview.
• M.Phil. degree holders from UGC-accredited universities are exempted from the entrance test but have to appear for an interview.

Note: 5% relaxation in the minimum score for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.

Sharda University PhD Entrance Test

Eligible candidates for the PhD program have to appear for the entrance test conducted by Sharda University. The entrance test consists of 70 MCQs followed by an interview of 30 marks.

• Core subject: 50 MCQ
• Research aptitude: 20 MCQ

Note: Candidates exempted from the entrance test shall be interviewed for 100 marks.
