Periyar University PhD Admissions 2026 Begins at periyaruniversity.ac.in; Apply by January 23

The Periyar University, Salem, is inviting applications for the PhD admission 2026 process for full-time and part-time doctoral programmes in multiple disciplines. The last date to submit an online application is January 23, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website, periyaruniversity.ac.in.

According to the official notification, applicants are required to pay an online application fee of INR 1,000 (Exempted for SC and ST candidates) while submitting the form.

The minimum eligibility to get admission in the PhD program at Periyar University is Masters degree with at least 55% marks from a recognised institution (50% exempted for SC, ST, OBC, PwD). Admission to the PhD programme will be made through the Common Entrance Test and interviews. Candidates who have passed the UGC-NET/ SET/CSIR/GATE/ M.Phil Degree holder or comparable test are exempted from the University entrance exam.
