Panjab University Issues PhD Admission 2024 Guidelines

New Delhi: Panjab University (PU) has released updated guidelines for PhD admissions. According to the circular, applicants with valid scores from national entrance exams like GATE, GPAT, or similar are exempted from university-level PhD entrance examinations.

As per Panjab University, regular teachers employed at Panjab University or its affiliated colleges are eligible to directly enroll in PhD programs. Further, research scholars from the Faculty of Engineering are required to submit a PhD synopsis within two years of enrolling in the program.

What is the Panjab University PhD Admission 2024 Cancellation Process?

Following the Panjab University PhD Admission 2024 guidelines, candidates who fail to submit their thesis within three months before the submission deadline will receive a warning notice from the department chairpersons.

If no communication is received from the department, the candidature will be automatically revoked, initiating further action by the Vice President of Panjab University. The research scholar may receive an extension only if the circumstances fall under the department's JAAC guidelines.

Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor will initiate the cancellation of their PhD registration, if a research scholar fails to submit their thesis before the maximum permissible limit as mentioned in the PhD guidelines.
