New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has announced that it will start the counselling process for engineering and medical seats in higher education institutions starting in the final week of June 2023.

OJEE had anticipated beginning the counselling process in the first week of June, however the procedure was delayed as a result of the delay in receiving the seat matrix. The final seat allocation process for OJEE 2023 will be done online.

OJEE 2023 Counselling Process includes registration, option locking, seat announcement, document verification, and admission confirmation. Earlier, the NEET UG 2023 and JEE Main 2023 entrance exam results were released on June 13, 2023 and April 29, 2023, respectively.

Informing about the schedule, OJEE Chairman Pravin Kumar Kar remarked that before starting the OJEE engineering counselling process, they must first receive the seat matrix (eventually sanctioned seats at technical institutes).

"In accordance with the process, the state government will get information about the final approved seats from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). For seats granted by AICTE, Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) will also offer institutions a no objection certificate (NOC). Then, we are shown the seat matrix. We will immediately start the counselling process after obtaining the OJEE seat matrix," he added.

The OJEE Chairman said that in order to start the counselling process for medical seats, the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will give them a seat matrix. He continued, "We will soon receive the seat matrix, and we want to start the counselling process by the last week of June”.
