What Has Changed in AEDP Subjects This Cycle?

The HED has revised the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) offerings. Some AEDP subjects now have a reduced intake strength.

A few other AEDP subjects have been converted to Non-AEDP options. Students who already filed the CAF should review their subject choices.

Those affected can edit their major and minor selections. The CAF edit window stays open till the new deadline.

Why This Extension Matters

The extra window mainly helps students adjust to mid-cycle subject changes. Late applicants also avoid server load on the SAMS portal. The downstream admission calendar remains unchanged for now.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Open the SAMS portal before the registration cut-off.
  2. Cross-check the revised AEDP list against your earlier choices.
  3. Edit the CAF subject selections wherever the intake has changed.
  4. Confirm fee payment and save the acknowledgement copy.
  5. Track the SAMS portal for merit list updates next week.
Keep an Eye On

Watch for the first merit list on the SAMS portal next week. The HED may issue further guidance for AEDP-affected students.

The SAMS Odisha admission process is a centralized online system. Students register on the official portal, fill out the Common Application Form (CAF) with college preferences, and submit fees. Admissions are granted based on merit lists, followed by online lock-in, document verification, and final institutional reporting.
