NTA PhD Entrance Exam 2023 is being conducted from October 26-31 by NTA. Candidates should download the admit card and read the exam day guidelines before appearing for the exam.
New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the PhD Entrance Examination 2023 from today, October 26, 2023. NTA is conducting the entrance exam for admission to PhD courses at Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU).
According to the schedule, the examination will be conducted on October 26, 27, 30, and 31, 2023. The admit card was released on October 24, 2023. Candidates can download the admit cards from phdentrance.samarth.ac.in.
The NTA PhD Entrance Exam will be conducted in a Computer-based mode. There will be two parts- Part A, which entails a general aptitude test encompassing English comprehension, logical reasoning, and quantitative ability, and Part B, which will include questions related to the subject selected by the candidate.

Candidates will be awarded four marks for each right response. There is a negative marking of one mark for every wrong answer. No marks will be evaluated for unattempted questions.

Exam Day Guidelines for NTA Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2023
Here are some important points that candidates should keep in mind before appearing for the NTA Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2023:
- It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry their respective ID cards along with them to the examination hall.
- Students must also carry a valid photo ID proof and admit card to the exam center.
- Candidates are advised to reach the test center an hour before the scheduled time of exam commencement.
- Students must go through ID Verification and Biometric tests to enter the exam hall.
- The use of any electronic device inside the exam center is strictly prohibited. Strict action will be taken if a candidate is found with any electronic device.
