NTA Makes Changes in PhD Admission Criteria of DU, JNU, BHU and BBAU; Check Details Here

New Delhi: A corrigendum has been released by National Testing Agency regarding the PhD Entrance Test 2023, concerning DU, JNU, BHU, and BBAU. NTA has urged candidates to review the reservation policies of respective universities for PhD admission.

In response to requests from both participating universities and candidates concerning certain conditions mentioned in the Ph.D. information bulletin, NTA has responded proactively. Subsequently, modifications to the PhD Entrance Tests have been introduced by the agency.

The corrigendum mentions guidelines stipulating adherence to the reservation policy applied in the participating universities including DU, JNU, BHU and others. Candidates are advised to review the reservation policy outlined in the respective university's prospect

Informing about the Ph.D. entrance test, NTA stated that in the Common Section, Commerce/Finance, Art and Culture, as well as Humanities, subjects will be offered in a bilingual format, encompassing both English and Hindi. However, Science Subjects will solely be conducted in English.

For the Language tests, Ph.D. entrance examinations will be conducted in their respective languages, excluding Linguistics, Modern Indian Language, and Literary Studies. These two subjects will be conducted in English.

Furthermore, NTA has clearly confirmed the absence of Negative Marking. In response to requests from various stakeholders, a revised timetable has been introduced. Candidates who have submitted their applications can modify their selected subjects during the designated correction window.

Earlier, NTA started the online registration process for PhD Entrance Test 2023 for Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU). The last date to apply is September 8, 2023.
