New Delhi: The NTA organized CUET (UG) 2024 on May 15, 2024 for admission into undergraduate programs in India. The NTA is conducting the CUET UG 2024 between May 15 and May 24, 2024. The exam commenced smoothly on May 15, 2024. The NTA has enforced certain efficient and inclusive measures to conduct the examination peacefully.
The examination will be conducted for 8 days. Candidates were allotted centers near their residences. Scheduled candidates are provided with centers as their first choice in their respective home states. CUET UG 2024 is conducted for admission into Central Universities (CUs) and participating institutions. Candidates don’t need to appear for any other test for UG admission in different colleges.
CUET (UG) 2024 Examination Details
The CUET UG 2024 exam is a Hybrid-mode test in which 13.48 lakh students have registered for 57,95,211 subject combinations, 93% of which are in traditional pen-and-paper format.
On May 15, the test was conducted for 25,91,014 combinations with 44.71% completion rate of CUET (UG) examination and 11.4 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam across 2,157 centers in 379 cities globally. 75% of the total candidates appeared the exam on the first day.
"Meticulous planning went into this year's examination to ensure a smooth and fair process," stated the NTA. "Candidates with multiple subject choices were scheduled at the same centers, and sufficient breaks were provided between shifts to facilitate their convenience. The first two shifts were held in the same examination room to minimize disruptions."
The NTA emphasized that numerous measures were implemented to support candidates, including announcing the examination schedule well in advance and ensuring that candidates were allotted centers near their residences. All scheduled candidates have been provided with centers as their first choice in their respective home states.
"Elaborate arrangements have been made to deploy adequate examination functionaries across the country and abroad to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the CUET (UG) 2024," the NTA added. "These efforts reflect our commitment to maintaining high standards of examination integrity and candidate convenience."
Candidates with multiple subject choices are scheduled at the same centers so they don’t face any kind of inconvenience. There were sufficient breaks provided between shifts to allow the students to prepare themselves for the next shift. The first two shifts are held in the same examination room to minimize disruptions.
