Students have raised concerns regarding wrong answers in the CUET UG 2024 answer key released on July 7. As a result, NTA has announced CUET UG 2024 re-exam on July 19 for over 1,000 affected candidates.

New Delhi: As a result of various allegations against the CUET UG Answer Key 2024, NTA has announced the CUET UG 2024 Retest for students who raised their concerns regarding the answer key by June 30, 2024. The re-exam will be conducted in CBT mode on July 19, 2024, with admit cards issued 3 to 4 days before the exam.

Several students have posted their queries on social media regarding the CUET UG 2024 answer key. According to a report, students and teachers have pointed out that the NTA has marked many correct answers as incorrect according to the NCERT syllabus.

Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) published the CUET UG 2024 answer key on July 7, 2024, on exams.nta.ac.in. Students were allowed to challenge the answer key until July 9, 2024. Candidates must pay INR 200 per response to challenge the answers.

Students from Patna Centre reported receiving the question paper late at Patna Centre. They also demanded the results be out by July 20, 2024, to allow them to take the necessary steps for admission.

This has caused widespread resentment among students, especially those needing help to challenge multiple incorrect responses due to money constraints. A student named Bishal Bhowmik shared his frustration, stating that 80% of answers in the Geography answer key were marked as wrong.

Official Response and Challenge Process

Despite numerous concerns, the NTA has not yet made any announcements regarding the discrepancies in the CUET provisional answer key 2024. The challenge window opened on July 7, 2024, allowing candidates to log in with their application number, date of birth, and security code to review their response sheet and the provisional answer key. The NTA charges INR 200 for each question or option challenged.

In the English exam paper (Set D), the NTA marked the response for the 17th question as "D," indicating both options 2 and 3 as correct.

Several questions of the CUET English, Economics, and Biology answer key have option 5 as the correction answer.

Rakesh Dubey shared on this controversy and said “Students have to wait for results and NTA has failed to publish on fixed date @dpradhanbjp ji, can’t we have a fixed date for CUET/ JIPMAT etc? it’s really painful to see the trauma young kids go through @narendramodi, wish your intervention, what kind of accountability?”
