NMIMS Mumbai to Open Campus in Odisha; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Odisha Government is all set to sign a MoU with SVKM’s NMIMS University, Mumbai to establish a campus in Bhubaneshwar. 

The Odisha Cabinet in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal in this regard on Thursday, Chief Secretary P K Jana told reporters.

The proposed campus of NMIMS University, Mumbai will act as a learning centre fostering national and global engagement in education. The university has agreed to enroll 30 percent of students for its Bhubaneswar campus from Odisha on a merit basis, added the Chief Secretary.

The Odisha Government has promised to provide 40 acres of land at Goudakashipur in Jatni to SVKM on lease basis for establishment of the NMIMS campus. 

“This initiative is designed to elevate the standard of higher education in Odisha and create new opportunities for academic excellence,” said the Chief Secretary.
