National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy has announced its revised fee structure for the 2026 academic year. Students planning to enroll in Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral programs should take note of the total expenditure, which is given below.

The total academic fee for UG programs like B.Tech. and B.Arch. now ranges between ₹5.63 Lakhs and ₹8.25 Lakhs. For PG aspirants, including those pursuing M.Tech., M.B.A., or M.C.A., the total costs are set between ₹1.30 Lakhs and ₹3.43 Lakhs. NIT has fixed the total fee for Doctorate (Ph.D.) programs at ₹2.88 Lakhs, excluding potential variations in annual research costs.

The students also note that the first semester includes a significant upfront payment for One-Time Fees, amounting to ₹35,300 for UG courses, ₹41,900 for PG and M.S. (Research) courses, and ₹48,500 for Ph.D. programs. These charges cover essential entry requirements such as Admission, Campus Development, and Seminar/Thesis fees. While Tuition Fees are generally fixed, remaining at ₹62,500 for B.Tech./B.Arch. and ₹7,500 for the Research program.

For instance, the Total Annual Fee starts at ₹27,750 in the first year and can rise to ₹36,800 or more by the final year of study. It is also important to highlight that a specific portion of the initial payment remains refundable upon graduation; this includes the Institute Deposit ₹6,500 and the Library Deposit ₹2,600, totaling ₹9,100 that the student can claim back after completing their course.
