At the time of admission, candidates must bring documents such as a printed copy of the completed application form, proof of identity, and payment.

The National Institute of Technology, Silchar has announced a list of candidates who have been provisionally selected for admission to the Ph.D. program in Groups A and B for the January-June 2025 session in various departments. Candidates with their names on the list are invited to complete all admission procedures, including document verification, by January 24, 2025.

Candidates must have the below-listed documents with them at the time of admission:

Print out the filled-in application form
Identity proof
Payment proof
Proof of date of birth(DOB)
Category certificate(if any) in original
NET/GATE scorecard
All throughout the qualifying grade/mark sheets and certificates (HSLC to PG).
Passport size: 3.5×3.5cm colorful photos (3 copies)
Proper NOC for Group B (Part-Time) Candidates for the current date

Visit the National Institute of Technology, Silchar's official website @nits.ac.in/
Scroll down to the “NEWS UPDATES” section.
Search for the update “List of Candidates provisionally selected for admission January to June 2025 Session”
Click on it
The merit list will open.

If any candidate is unable to take admission by January 24, 2025, his or her selection will be automatically annulled, and no further communication in this regard will be received. Furthermore, those who are employed and selected as regular applicants must provide a copy of their release order at the time of admission.
