Selected candidates must pay the admission fee of INR 67,000 for General/OBC/PWD/EWS and INR 59,500 for SC/ST before the deadline to confirm their admission to NIT Rourkela.
NIT Rourkela has released the list of candidates provisionally selected for admission to PhD program 2024-25 (Spring Session). The candidates must visit the NIT Rourkela campus for the admission process scheduled for December 30, 2024.

NIT Rourkela PhD Fee Payment Procedure
The selected applicants can follow the below-mentioned steps to pay the admission fee:
- Visit the SBI COLLECT website.
- Select Educational Institutions.
- Choose Odisha from the dropdown.
- Select Director NIT Rourkela.
- Choose Admission Fee for the PhD program.
Note: After successful payment download the e-Receipt for SB Collect Payment.
NIT Rourkela PhD Documents Required
For admission at NIT Rourkela, the candidates are required to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL along with a set of self-attested copies of each certificate:
- Signed copy of application form downloaded from @eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in
- Marks sheets/Grade Cards of all examinations from Class X onwards
- Degree/Pass Certificates from Class X onwards
- College leaving/Transfer Certificate in Original, if applicable
- Migration Certificate of the last studied institute in Original
- Conduct Certificate of the last studied institute in Original
- OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD Certificate, if applicable
- GATE/NET/GPAT etc. Score Card, if applicable
- ABC ID
- Fellowship sanction letter if selected under the External Fellowship category
- Sponsorship Certificate, Relieving letter from sponsor, Identity Card/Salary Slip for sponsored candidates only
- Relieving letter for candidates who are in service/working
- Two (02) Recent Passport size colour photographs
- Printout of e-Receipt of SB Collect payment for admission fee
- For Candidates whose results are awaited, a declaration is to be submitted in the format as given in Annexure-I
- Candidates with Inspire Fellowship on a provisional basis, selected under the ‘Full Time Student with External Fellowship’ category, need to submit a duly signed undertaking
