NIT Rourkela MBA Admission 2026 Ongoing

National Institute of Technology Rourkela has started the admission process for its MBA programme for the 2026–28 academic session. Eligible candidates can submit the online application form till February 16, 2026 through the institute’s official admission portal.

The NIT Rourkela MBA’s selection process includes shortlisting based on national-level management entrance test scores, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) rounds. The GDPI is scheduled for March 18 and 19, 2026, while the final result is expected to be announced later in March.

Candidates applying for the MBA programme must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.

Final-year students are also eligible, provided they submit proof of qualifying marks by September 30, 2026, failing which admission will be cancelled.

NIT Rourkela considers scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, and CMAT for shortlisting candidates. Applicants must appear for any one of these national-level management entrance tests and apply separately on the institute’s admission portal. Shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and Personal Interview based on entrance test scores and academic background.

The final merit list is prepared using a 300-mark evaluation system. It includes Career Marks (90), Work Experience (10), Group Discussion (100), and Personal Interview (100).
