NIT Raipur to Conduct Spot Admission for M.Tech

New Delhi: NIT Raipur has announced that there will be a third round of spot admission for its MTech and MSc programs for the academic session 2023-24, on September 8, 2023.

Notably, candidates who have already secured admission in other institutes through CCMT/CCMN are not required to apply for these admissions, the official NIT Raipur statement said.

The spot round of seat allocation will be based on the GATE scores for MTech Admissions and IIT JAM scores for MSc Admissions. In M. Tech. programs, preference will be given to GATE-qualified applicants on the spot round admissions, whereas Non-GATE candidates will undergo a test/interview on September 8, 2023, in their respective departments.

For M.Sc programs, candidates must have a valid JAM score to be eligible. Institute scholarships are not available for M. Sc. programs and non-GATE candidates selected for M.Tech programs.

If eligible for admission to multiple specializations within a department for MTech programs, applicants can indicate their preferences in a single application form. Transfer, Migration, and Character certificates must be presented during the interview or admission, if selected, the NIT Raipur statement said.

The applicant is responsible for their travel expenses and, if necessary, arranging their own accommodation as the institute will not reimburse any amount. For information about eligible degrees for admission to M. Tech. and M. Sc. programs, candidates should consult the CCMT 2023 and CCMN 2023 websites, as stated in the official announcement.
