NIT Raipur Hosts Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Programme

New Delhi: The National Institute of Technology, Raipur, welcomed the delegates from Nagaland for the second phase of the Yuva Sangam Youth Exchange Program under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. 

The students at NIT Raipur enthusiastically participated in several workshops, learning new skills and gaining firsthand knowledge of Nagaland's artistic heritage. This initiative was structured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create a cultural connection with various states of India and to strengthen people-to-people connections. 

This program aims to expose young talents, who have the potential to achieve something big in life, who has global knowledge, and the spirit of creativity, and also aims to flourish the cultural values that reflect the country’s humane philosophy.

Launched in February 2023, the initiative witnessed a tremendous response, with 1200 enthusiastic youngsters participating in the first phase of Yuva Sangam. The inaugural batch had the incredible opportunity to visit the enchanting region of North East India.

The delegates from Nagaland were welcomed by the students and faculty of NIT Raipur. Dr. Sanjay Alang, Divisional Commissioner, Raipur, was present as the chief guest, and international weightlifter Rustam Sarang was a special guest. 

These delegates will get a lot of opportunities to explore the state and learn about the culture with an industrial visit to the Bhilai Steel Plant, a trip to Sirpur, and a visit to the Governor’s House scheduled for them.

The successful event at NIT Raipur stands as a testament to the power of cultural exchange and collaboration in building a stronger, more unified nation.
