NIT Jalandhar and KISCO India Private Limited (KIPL) have inked an agreement to provide financial support to the economically challenged students of NIT Jalandhar.

New Delhi: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KISCO India Private Limited to provide financial support to the economically challenged students of NIT Jalandhar.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Director of NIT Jalandhar, and Mr. Rohit Khanna, Managing Director of KIPL. This collaboration aims to provide essential financial assistance to academically talented students facing economic challenges at NIT Jalandhar.
As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative, KIPL has graciously granted Rs 3.2 lakhs in financial aid to these deserving students. This marks the fifth consecutive year of their support, and the institute commends KIPL's commitment to nurturing future leaders. It's noteworthy that Mr. Rohit Khanna is an alumnus of NIT Jalandhar, graduating from the institution in the class of 1994.
NIT Jalandhar is a deemed university established as a cooperative effort by the governments of Punjab and India. NIT Jalandhar is ranked 46 in the engineering category by NIRF 2023. NIT Jalandhar provides over 50 courses across different academic departments. The Space Technology Incubator Center is located at NIT Jalandhar.
NIT Jalandhar placements 2023 achieved a placement of 73.79%. More than 110 recruiters visited the campus and made offers to the 950 eligible students. A total of 796 offers were received by the students and 95 double job offers.
