To apply for the NIT Jalandhar PhD and MTech programs, candidates must hold a master's and bachelor's degree, respectively.
The National Institute of Technology Jalandhar has started applications for the PhD and MTech programs for the academic year 2025. Candidates who are interested are invited to submit an application by March 31, 2025, together with supporting papers based on the programs they apply for.

NIT Jalandhar PhD and M.Tech Program Eligibility Criteria
The following table lists the eligibility conditions for the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar PhD and Mastes in Technology:
PhD Program
- A Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Science, with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or equivalent, in the relevant research area, with GATE qualification.
M.Tech Program
- A bachelor's degree with at least 60% aggregate (6.5 CGPA) and a valid GATE score.
Candidates will be required to provide certain documentation based on the program for which they applied. Final admittance will be based solely on the merit list.
