The Department of Humanities and Management at Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT Jalandhar) has officially announced the admissions for its two-year full-time MBA programme for the academic year 2026-28 under the regular category. Interested applicants must submit their applications on or before May 15, 2026.

As per the official brochure, candidates seeking admission in the regular and self-sponsored categories have to apply separately, as the admission process is different for both categories and interchange of merit is not allowed.

NIT Jalandhar Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to seek admission in the MBA program at NIT Jalandhar must hold a Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD categories). Students in their final-year are also eligible to apply provisionally, but they must meet the criteria before the admission deadline.

NIT Jalandhar Selection Criteria

Selection to the MBA program at NIT Jalandhar is mainly based on valid entrance exam scores from CAT, MAT, CMAT, or GMAT conducted in 2025 or 2026. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview round, conducted offline or online by the institute.

The general admission will be made on the percentile: the weightage includes 70% for the entrance score, and 15% for the Group Discussion, and 15% for the Personal Interview performance. However, candidates belonging to the category should refer to the official brochure.

NIT Jalandhar Application Procedure

Candidates must register online, upload scanned copies of their marksheets, Qualifying Degree/provisional degree, Valid CAT/MAT/CMAT scores, DMCs bearing a total of marks, marks obtained, percentage or CGPA, Category Certificate, Certificate of Matriculation bearing Date of Birth, 10 + 2 Certificate, Character Certificate from Institute last attended, Medical Fitness Certificate, Migration Certificate, and Annexure B* (wherever applicable), and photo/signature along with the application fee. Counselling and seat allotment rounds will be followed by the publication of the merit list, with document verification at the institute.
