NIT Calicut has extended the deadline to apply for admission to its PhD (Winter Semester). The application deadline is extended. The earlier deadline was November 3, 2023.

NIT Calicut, PhD Winter Semester Admissions 2023-24 Deadline Extended

New Delhi: National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) has extended the application deadline for Ph.D. Winter Semester Admissions for the academic year 2023-24. The deadline has been extended till November 8, 2023. 

Aspirants will be selected according to a national-level Ph.D. entrance examination conducted by NIT Calicut. 

The candidates' final selection is contingent upon successfully completing the selection process conducted by the relevant Departments. Additionally, applicants must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks (CGPA 6.0/10) or its equivalent in their Bachelor's degree. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% marks (CGPA 5.5/10). 

Those who have obtained a B. Arch/B. Plan./B. Tech. degree through lateral entry should have passed a three-year diploma in engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (CGPA 6.0/10), or for SC/ST/PWD candidates, 55% marks (CGPA 5.5/10). Furthermore, individuals holding AMIE (approved by AICTE) or other nationally recognized programs equivalent to B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Plan. will also be considered eligible.

How to Apply for NIT Calicut Ph.D Winter Semester Admissions 2023-24?

Below are the steps to apply for the NIT Calicut PhD Admission

  • Aspirants must visit the official website @dss.nitc.ac.in and register using their email ID and phone number
  • Login into the portal
  • Fill out the application form
  • Upload all the necessary documents
  • Pay the application fee
  • Check and submit the form
  • Download the confirmation page and take a printout of it for future reference

The application fee is INR 1,000 for OPEN/EWS/OBC/PWD applicants and INR 500 for SC/ST candidates. If candidates apply to multiple Departments/Schools, they are required to pay the application fee only once.
