The application fee is ₹1,000 for candidates belonging to the OPEN, OBC, and EWS categories, and ₹500 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The application fee is non-refundable.

NIT Calicut MBA Admission 2026–28 Open

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut has opened applications for admission to its two-year full-time MBA programme for the 2026–28 batch. The programme is offered by the Department of Management Studies (DMS), and admissions are being conducted under three categories – Regular (CAT-based), Industry Sponsored, and Self-Sponsored.

As per the NIT Calicut official notification released, eligible candidates can submit their online applications till March 30, 2026. The shortlist of candidates will be released on April 16, 2026, while the selection process is expected to be held between April 27 and May 8, 2026. The final results are likely to be announced on May 15, 2026, followed by admissions on May 28 and 29, 2026.

For MBA (Regular – CAT), applicants must have a valid CAT 2025 score. Selection will be based on CAT performance, followed by a written test and interview conducted by the Department of Management Studies. The total intake under the regular category is 75 seats.

Under the Industry Sponsored category, candidates must have a minimum of two years of continuous industrial or research experience in addition to the required academic qualification. Selection will be through a written test and/or interview. A total of five seats are available under this category.

For the Self-Sponsored MBA, candidates can apply using scores from national or state-level MBA entrance tests such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, KMAT, or similar exams. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the result submission conditions. This category has an intake of ten seats.
