NIMCET 2026 registration will begin from March 3 for MCA admissions. Candidates can apply online till May 1. The entrance exam is scheduled for June 6.

The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2026 registration process will begin from March 3, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to the MCA programme in participating National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other institutions can complete the online application process till May 1, 2026.

NIMCET 2026 will be conducted on June 6, 2026, in computer-based mode at various exam centres across the country. The registration fee for general category students is INR 2500, and for SC/ST/PwD candidates is INR 1250.

The NIMCET 2026 is a Common Entrance National Level Test for admission into the MCA programme offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Meghalaya, Patna, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal and IIITs at Bhopal and Vadodara. The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2026-27 in the above 11 NITs and 02 IIITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2026 only.

Candidates applying for NIMCET 2026 must hold a bachelor’s degree, such as B.Sc., BCA, BIT, or B.E./BTech from a recognised university, with Mathematics or Statistics at the Class 12 or graduation level. General and OBC candidates must secure at least 60% marks, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates need 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
