The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2026 application process has officially commenced from March 3, 2026. The registration link is available on the official admission portal.

Candidates seeking admission to MCA programmes at participating NITs can now submit their forms online. The last date to apply is May 1, 2026, while the entrance examination will be conducted on June 6, 2026 across designated centres in India.

Candidates are advised to download their hall ticket within the given timeline. Entry to the exam centre will not be allowed without the admit card.

The NIMCET 2026 application fee depends on the candidate’s category. Applicants belonging to OPEN, OPEN-EWS, and OBC categories must pay Rs. 2500, while candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories are required to pay Rs. 1250.

The payment has to be completed through online mode only. It is important to note that the application form will be considered valid only after the successful payment of the fee.

After the declaration of the result, shortlisted candidates will be called for the NIMCET 2026 counselling process.

During counselling, seat allotment will be carried out based on the candidate’s merit rank and the choices of participating institutes filled during registration. Candidates must participate in the counselling rounds within the given timeline to secure admission.
