NIFT 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result Out at nift.admissions.nic.in; Check Fee Payment Deadline

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has declared the Round 1 seat allotment result for NIFT 2026 counselling on the official portal at nift.admissions.nic.in. The result covers Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and UG Lateral Entry programmes. Allotted candidates must submit the online willingness letter and pay the admission fee by July 1, 2026.

The allotment was processed on June 27, 2026, based on choices filled and merit ranks. Candidates can log in to their respective counselling portal to view the allotted campus and programme.

How to Check the NIFT 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates can follow the steps below to view their allotted seat. The portal is the same one used for choice filling.

• Visit the official portal at nift.admissions.nic.in.
• Click on the counselling link for your category, UG, PG or UG Lateral.
• Log in using your application number and password.
• The seat allotment letter will appear on the screen.
• Download and save a copy for further admission steps.

How to Confirm the Allotted Seat?

Confirmation of the allotted seat is a two-step online process. Both steps must be completed before the deadline on July 1, 2026.

Step 1: Submit the online willingness letter through the candidate dashboard.

Step 2: Pay the prescribed admission fee using net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.

Candidates who fail to complete either step within the window will lose their allotted seat. Such candidates will not be considered for the next round.

Floating and Freezing Options for Candidates

NIFT offers an upgrade option to candidates allotted a seat in Round 1. Students who want a better campus or programme can opt to float their seat. The current allotment remains valid till a better option is confirmed in Round 2.

Candidates satisfied with the Round 1 seat can freeze the allotment. Frozen seats are not considered for upgrade in later rounds. Candidates who wish to exit the process can submit a withdrawal request by July 17, 2026.

NIFT 2026 Counselling Round Structure

NIFT 2026 admissions are conducted through three online counselling rounds. A spot round follows the regular rounds if vacant seats remain across campuses.

Documents Required at the Allotted Campus

Candidates must keep scanned and physical copies of key documents ready. These are needed during online willingness submission and on-campus reporting.

• NIFT 2026 entrance exam admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
• Graduation mark sheet for PG and UG Lateral applicants
• Category certificate if claiming reservation
• Photo identity proof such as Aadhaar or passport
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Allotment letter and fee payment receipt

1. Log in at nift.admissions.nic.in and check the Round 1 allotment letter.
2. Decide whether to freeze the seat or float for an upgrade in Round 2.
3. Submit the online willingness letter before July 1, 2026.
4. Pay the admission fee through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI by July 1, 2026.
5. Download the payment receipt and the provisional admission slip.
6. Keep all academic and identity documents ready for campus reporting.
