NID DAT Registrations 2026 Live Now; Apply before December 1

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the official notification for NID DAT 2026, inviting applications for two programmes both Undergraduate (B.Des) and Postgraduate (M.Des). Aspiring designers can complete the application process through the official site.

NID DAT 2026 Application Process

• Step 1: Candidates are required to register by entering a correct email id, mobile number and classifying basic personal information such as nationality, category, and disability (if any).
• Step 2: Add personal and education details. Candidates applying for M.Des must add work experience.
• Step 3: Upload Scanned Documents such as a recent photo, signature, and other required documents such as caste or PwD certificates, and passport.
• Step 4: Make the online payment with an available payment gateway. Upon making the payment and completing your application, download and print the confirmation page for your record.

NID DAT B.Des Application Fees for Academic Year 2026-27

The application fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.

NID DAT M.Des Application Fees for Academic Year 2026-27

The equivalent amount in Rupees of US$ rounded off to higher Rs.100 at the time of announcement of admissions. Application fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.

NID DAT Admissions 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• For B.Des, candidates must have passed Grade 12 (or equivalent from any recognised board). Age limits are not enforced, however, candidates must meet the eligibility on academic grounds.
• For M.Des, a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university is mandatory. No mandatory experience is outlined, however, experience is recommended for M.Des candidates.
