The official announcement of the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2026 will be released shortly by the National Institute of Design (NID). As per the latest information, it will soon be available on the NID admissions official website. The notification will include important details of NID admissions, such as an application date, eligibility, registration details, as well as course invocation for B.Des and M.Des courses.
The registration for NID DAT 2026 should open immediately after the release of the notification. Candidates are advised to have all the required documents, including a digital scan of current photo and signature, and academic documents & proof of identity.

- The student must have successfully completed the 10+2 (HSC) examination in any stream from a recognized board.
- The candidate must be born on or after July 4, 2004.
- Eligibility criteria for M.Des:
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree of three or four years, OR a full-time diploma of four years in Design, Fine Art, Applied Art; or Architecture from a recognized institution after completing the 12th standard.
- The candidate must be born on or before July 1, 1993.
