NIA Pune has announced PGDM 2026–28 fees, eligibility, accepted exams, seat matrix, cutoff and merit list criteria.

National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune has officially released the PGDM fee structure for the 2026–28 batch along with key admission details. The total academic fee is ₹12 lakh for two years, excluding hostel charges.
The institute has also shared eligibility criteria, accepted entrance exams, application deadline, seat intake, reservation policy, expected cutoffs, and merit list weightage. Candidates seeking admission must apply online before the last date and qualify through the selection process as per NIA guidelines.

Applicants must have graduation with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. NIA Pune accepts scores of CAT 2025, XAT 2026, and CMAT 2026 for admission.
For NIA Pune PGDM admission 2026–28, the upper age limit is 28 years for General, EWS and OBC-NC candidates, while it is 30 years for SC, ST and PWD candidates, calculated as on July 1, 2026. The last date to apply is March 15, 2026, and applicants are advised to complete the registration process early to avoid last-minute issues.
The institute offers 180 AICTE-approved seats for the PGDM programme, with 91 seats for Open category, 49 for NC-OBC, 27 for SC, and 13 for ST candidates.

Additionally, a 10% EWS quota (18 seats) is available over and above the approved intake, while 5% seats are reserved horizontally for PWD candidates across all categories, subject to availability.
For shortlisting, the expected cutoff is CAT 75, XAT 80 and CMAT 95 percentile for General and EWS candidates, whereas NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates can expect a cutoff of CAT 70, XAT 75 and CMAT 90 percentile, with final selection based on the institute’s merit list.

How is The NIA Pune PGDM Merit List Prepared?
The final merit list is prepared using multiple components with defined weightage:
- CAT / XAT / CMAT score: 50% weightage
- Group Discussion (GD): 15% weightage
- Personal Interview (PI): 20% weightage
- Past academic record (10th, 12th, Graduation): 10% weightage
- Work experience (more than one year): 5% weightage
XAT and CMAT percentiles are converted to CAT percentile equivalence before evaluation.
