NFSC Nagpur will open online applications for 33rd Batch B.Tech Fire Engineering on June 2, 2026, with the last submission date set for July 2. The admission process includes document verification on July 15-16, merit list finalization on July 24.

The National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur, has announced the admission schedule for its 33rd Batch B.Tech (Fire Engineering) program for the academic year 2026-27. Eligible candidates can apply online starting June 2, 2026, through the official NFSC website at nfscnagpur.nic.in.
The application processing fee is ₹500 (non-refundable), payable through the online payment gateway. A total of 60 seats are available for admission based on JEE (Main) 2026 All India Rank issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
NFSC Nagpur is India's premier institution offering B.Tech in Fire Engineering, established in 1956 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The four-year program combines engineering fundamentals with specialized knowledge in fire dynamics, industrial safety, and fire protection system design.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science, securing at least 50% marks. Admission is purely merit-based through the Nationalized Admission Process (NAP), followed by medical and physical fitness verification at the institute.

- August 3, 2026: Induction program and class commencement
Candidates must meet specific physical standards: males require minimum height of 165 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for Garhwals, Assamese Gorkha, and Schedule Tribe members), chest measurement of 81 cm unexpanded and 86 cm expanded, and weight of 50 kg minimum.
Female candidates must have minimum height of 157 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm) and weight of 46 kg. Both genders must have vision of 6/6 in the better eye without aid, 6/12 in the worse eye, and no color blindness. Candidates must be free from knock-knee, flat foot, squint eyes, and stammering, and in good mental and physical health.

Reservations are available for OBC-NCL (27%), Scheduled Castes (15%), Scheduled Tribes (7.5%), General-EWS (10%), J&K Migrants (5%), and Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (5%) candidates. Additionally, 6 supernumerary seats are reserved for EWS candidates and 3 for J&K/Ladakh migrants over the sanctioned intake.
The course involves rigorous physical training and uniformed discipline, with mandatory morning and evening parades and drills. Candidates must adhere to strict discipline and are expected to purchase two sets of uniform within one week of admission. Any indiscipline or anti-national activities will result in immediate expulsion without notice.
