NERIST Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Admissions 2024

  1. Candidates with a master's degree in Technology or Engineering with minimum 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5/10-point scale and 55% marks in aggregate for those in Science/Humanities and Social Sciences and 5% relaxation is available for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  2. Candidates working in National Laboratories/Institutes or related sectors may need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
  3. The Written Admission Test will be exempted with a valid GATE/NET Scores.
  4. Information Related to GATE/NET for Ph.D. Admissions at NERIST
  • Category 1: Candidates who have qualified for the GATE exam can apply for Ph.D. programs directly based on their scores.
  • Category 2: Candidates holding a NET JRF certificate are also eligible for admission. They should submit their JRF certificate during the application process.
  • Category 3: Those who qualify in NET but not JRF may apply, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria.

How to Apply for Ph.D. Programs at NERIST

Candidates can apply offline by submitting a non-refundable application fee of ₹1500 through a Demand Draft or Banker's Cheque payable to the Director, NERIST and payable at SBI NERIST(Branch Code18744) Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh.
