NCERT Launches Free SWAYAM Courses for Classes 11 & 12; Register by September 1

The National Council of Educational Research and Training has introduced a comprehensive set of free online courses for Classes 11 and 12 students through the SWAYAM platform.

The initiative aims to provide structured digital education and make quality learning accessible to all students across India. Students can register on the SWAYAM portal at swayam.gov.in/explorer to enroll in their preferred courses at no cost.

NCERT is offering 28 free online courses across 11 subjects designed specifically for Classes 11 and 12 students. The subjects include accountancy, business studies, biology, chemistry, economics, geography, physics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, and English.

Each course has been structured for a 21-week duration, allowing students to learn at their own pace while maintaining consistency with their regular school curriculum. The extended timeline ensures comprehensive coverage of topics with adequate time for practice and revision.

Certification and Assessment Process

Upon completing all course activities and requirements, students must appear for the final assessment to qualify for certification.

The assessment registration window opens on September 7 and closes on September 9, providing students with a specific timeframe to register for examinations.

Final examinations will be conducted between September 10 and September 15, 2026. Students who successfully complete the assessment will receive official certificates from NCERT, which can be added to their academic credentials and used for future educational or professional purposes.
