Nalanda University PhD Program Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be eligible as per the below-mentioned criteria to apply for the Nalanda University PhD program
- A Master's degree with at least 65% of the possible points or an equivalent GPA is required of the applicant; a master's-level dissertation or an M.Phil. degree with 65% of the possible points or an equivalent GPA is preferred.
- The applicant should send two letters of recommendation or reference along with a letter of self-introduction.
- Applicant to submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP). The SoP should clearly state:
- The rationale behind choosing the program or course
- The rationale behind selecting Nalanda University
- The applicant must submit a thorough research proposal, which must include a Turnitin plagiarism check report with a similarity of 10% or less.
- The applicant must provide proof of any research, such as published papers or writing samples (at least two to three).
- Foreign applicants must provide evidence of their language skills, such as
- The TOEFL, or Test of English as a Foreign Language
- IELTS, or the International English Language Test System
- Any additional common English language exam offered on a global scale
- Alternatively, finished a full-time degree-level course that was taught and evaluated solely in English.
- For Indian aspirants, NET/CSIRNET Qualified is a prerequisite.
- Prior to final admission shortlisting, assessment will be conducted based on online engagement, document verification, and interviews.
When completing the application, candidates must indicate the program they wish to apply for. On each application form, only a single program may be chosen. Use different application forms if you want to apply to more than one program.
