Candidates who have qualified U.G.C.-NET / U.G.C. CSIR NET / JRF / GATE or have been awarded research fellowships/scholarships by DBT / ICMR / ICAR / DST / CSSIR / ICHR / ICPR are exempt from the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT).

Magadh University in Bodhgaya has announced the timetable for its PhD Admission Test (PAT) 2025. The university has stated that PAT 2025 will take place on March 23, 2025, in two shifts: 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.

MU Bodhgaya PAT Exemption Criteria

Candidates who meet the following conditions are exempt from taking the PhD admission test:

Candidates who have qualified for U.G.C.-NET / U.G.C. CSIR NET / JRF / GATE, or who have been awarded research fellowships/scholarships by DBT / ICMR / ICAR / DST / CSSIR / ICHR / ICPR, are exempt from the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT)-2022–23.
Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors working in postgraduate departments of universities or affiliated colleges and appointed on the U.G.C. Pay Scale after completing their probation period are exempt from this examination. Additionally, teachers with at least two years of continuous service in a permanent position are excluded.
University lecturers who have completed more than five years of regular work and received at least 55% marks in their Master's degree (50% for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled applicants) are also exempt from the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT)-2022–23.
