Check Here: Clarification Received from NBEMS Regarding All India NEET Merit and State Specific Merii NEET PG 2024-25

NBEMS highlighted that the All India NEET-PG 2024 rank was calculated using a normalization process, as per its public notice on 10 August 2024. Key points include:

  • All India Rank Basis: Percentile scores calculated using normalized scores from both shifts of the NEET-PG exam.

  • State-Specific Merit: Freshly prepared percentile scores and ranks for each state incorporate incentivized marks as applicable, following the same normalization process.

  • Differences in Merit:

    • State-specific ranks and inter-se merit cannot be directly compared with All India ranks due to variations in scoring methods and criteria.

    • This was discussed during virtual meetings held by NBEMS with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state counseling authorities on 28 October 2024 and 7 November 2024.
