New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has recently launched a first-of-its-kind BTech Degree Program in Computer Science and Finance Technology.
According to MIT Manipal, the Department of Humanities and Management, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and the Department of Mathematics will offer the program. The course has also been authorised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Through this program, the institute aims to close the gap between computer science and finance after realising the potential of fintech in India. With the assistance of financial professionals, the course has been designed. The programme will start from July 2023.
Informing about the MIT Manipal BTech Program 2023, Anil Rana, Director of MIT, said, "We are happy to offer the first-ever BTech curriculum in Computer Science and Financial Technology in India. In order to prepare students for the industry, MIT Manipal is committed to providing cutting-edge education that is in sync with the shifting needs of the business world”.
“Students also receive hands-on training at the institute. The program's understanding of the technology and domain of fintech will be useful to students interested in a career in the industry. This would give the students the opportunity to help India become a major player in the global fintech industry”, he added.
