MHT CET CAP 2026 Schedule Released; Check Registration Last Date

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra has released the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026-27 schedule for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) admissions. The official notice is available on the CET Cell portal at cetcell.mahacet.org. The schedule covers all activities up to the publication of the final merit list.

Registration for BE and BTech CAP 2026 opens on July 2, 2026. Candidates can submit their online applications until July 12, 2026. The MAH CET Cell will conduct document verification alongside the registration window. The provisional merit list is scheduled for release on July 15, 2026.

Applicants who find errors in the provisional list can raise grievances between July 16 and July 18, 2026. The CET Cell will then publish the final merit list on July 20, 2026. Seat allotment rounds will follow this list across four CAP rounds.

Who Can Apply for MHT CET CAP 2026?

The CAP 2026 counselling is open to candidates who qualified the MHT CET 2026 exam. Applicants must hold a valid MHT CET 2026 score card. They must also meet the eligibility norms set by the CET Cell for BE and BTech programmes.

Candidates from outside Maharashtra can also register under the applicable candidature type. All applicants must complete document verification within the specified window. Missing any deadline may lead to loss of a CAP seat.

How to Register for MHT CET CAP 2026?

Registration is fully online through the CET Cell portal. Candidates must first create a login using a valid mobile number and email. They then fill in personal, academic, and MHT CET score details in the application form.

Applicants must upload scanned copies of the required documents in the prescribed format. These include the MHT CET score card, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, domicile certificate, and category proof where applicable. The system will generate a receipt after successful submission.

What Happens After the Final Merit List?

After the final merit list on July 20, 2026, the CET Cell will start seat allotment. The BE and BTech CAP will run in four rounds this year. Each round includes option form filling, seat allotment, seat acceptance, and reporting to the allotted institute.

The full round-wise schedule for CAP allotment will be released through a separate notice. Candidates should track the CET Cell portal for these dates. Seat acceptance and institute reporting will run through August and September 2026.
