The Maharashtra CET Cell has extended the MHT CET CAP 2026 registration deadline to July 19 at 5 PM. Document verification runs till July 20. The provisional merit list will be released on July 22, followed by the final list on July 27.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has issued fresh CAP dates. It has extended the MHT CET CAP 2026 registration deadline. The complete revised counselling schedule is now live at fe2026.mahacet.org.
The extension covers Maharashtra state and All India candidates. Migrant candidates from Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh are also included. It applies to First Year BE, BTech and Integrated MTech admissions. Candidates who missed the earlier July 12 deadline get relief.
MHT CET CAP 2026 Revised Schedule

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Eligibility rules follow the official MHT CET 2026 information brochure. Norms differ for Maharashtra state and All India candidates.
Maharashtra State Candidates
Candidates must have passed HSC or an equivalent exam. Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects at the HSC level. The minimum aggregate is 45 percent for the general category. It is 40 percent for EWS, SC and ST candidates.
All India Candidates
Candidates need a Diploma in Engineering and Technology. The minimum aggregate is 45 percent for the general category. Reserved category candidates need 40 percent to qualify.
What Is the Application Fee?
The CET Cell has revised the CAP 2026 fee this cycle. General category candidates pay 300 rupees more than last year. Reserved category candidates pay 200 rupees more than last year. The exact category-wise amount is listed in the official brochure at cetcell.mahacet.org.
How to Register for MHT CET CAP 2026?
Registration and document upload happen entirely online. Follow the steps below to complete your application on time.
- Visit the official CAP portal at fe2026.mahacet.org.
- Click on new candidate registration and create your login.
- Fill personal, academic and category details in the form.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the applicable CAP 2026 fee online.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation slip.
- Choose your document verification mode as instructed.
CAP is the only route to Maharashtra engineering seats. It covers government, aided, university managed, and private colleges. Missing this extended window shuts out CAP 2026 admissions.
