The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued two important notices regarding NEET PG Counselling 2024. These notifications are issued regarding the resignation of seats from Round 1 and Round 2 and the conversion of nationality from Indian to NRI for Round 3. Resignation of Round-1 and Round-2 Seats
MCC has received multiple requests from candidates desiring to resign their Round-1 or Round-2 seats due to various reasons. In response, the competent authority has allowed resignations during the following period:

Key Instructions

Freshly allotted candidates of Round 2 who joined their seats but now wish to resign can vacate their seats within the stipulated time, with the forfeiture of the security deposit.

Candidates upgraded in Round 2, who joined their upgraded seats but now wish to resign, can also vacate their seats under similar conditions.

Candidates must report physically at their allotted college to resign.

Resignation letters must be generated online via the MCC portal by the allotted college. Failure to generate the letter will render the resignation null and void.
Conversion of Nationality from Indian to NRI for NEET PG Round-3
MCC has provided detailed instructions for candidates who wish to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024 (MD/MS/Diploma seats).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in W.P.(C) No. 689/2017.

Documents in support of NRI status, including the relationship with the sponsorer, affidavit, Embassy Certificate, NEET Score Card, and Family Tree notarized by Tehsildar, are required.

Previously submitted documents (between 31 December 2024, 12:00 PM and 1 January 2025, 12:00 PM) need not be sent again.

Candidates eligible after percentile reduction must send fresh documents.
Important Notes

All certificates should be in English or include an English translation.

The conversion of nationality is provisional, subject to verification by the allotted college and Ministry of External Affairs.

Legal action will be taken if documents are found to be fake.
