MCC has extended the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 choice filling window on mcc.nic.in till 11:59 PM on August 18, 2026. Seat allotment processing starts the same day, and the Round 1 result will be declared on August 19, 2026.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 Round 1 choice filling and locking window on the official portal at mcc.nic.in. Candidates can now submit and lock their preferences till 11:59 PM on August 18, 2026.
The revised deadline covers all seats handled by MCC under Round 1. These include the 15 percent All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats. Seats in AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, AFMS, Central Universities, and deemed universities are also covered.
MCC will begin processing the Round 1 seat allotment on August 18, 2026. The seat allotment result will be published on August 19, 2026. Allotted candidates must report to their assigned institutes between August 20 and August 25, 2026.

How to Fill and Lock Choices on mcc.nic.in?
Candidates should follow the steps below before the extended deadline closes.
- Visit the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in.
- Click on the UG Medical Counselling link on the homepage.
- Log in using the NEET UG 2026 roll number and password.
- Add colleges and courses to the preference list.
- Rearrange the selected choices in the desired priority order.
- Click on the Lock Choices tab and confirm using the OTP.
- Download and save the locked choice list for reference.
Who Is Eligible to Participate in Round 1?
Only candidates who registered and paid the counselling fee between August 5 and August 15 are eligible. They must also qualify NEET UG 2026 as per NTA cut-offs. Choices submitted without locking will be auto-locked at 11:59 PM on August 18.
Round 1 usually decides the best-fit college for most candidates. Locked choices cannot be edited once the window shuts. Unlocked entries are auto-locked exactly as last saved on the portal.

- Review the complete list of added colleges and courses.
- Reorder preferences based on interest, location, and past cut-offs.
- Lock the final choices and complete OTP verification.
- Save and print the locked choice list for records.
- Track the seat allotment result on August 19 at mcc.nic.in.
