Mangalore University Undergraduate and Postgraduate final year exams of September 21 has been postponed due to heavy rainfall in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, conveyed via an official press release.
“It is in view of heavy rains in the jurisdiction of the university covering Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu districts. The rescheduled dates of the examinations will be announced later,” P. L. Dharma, Registrar (Evaluation) of the Mangalore University said.
The Mangalore University final year exams for UG and PG commenced from September 15. The exams are being conducted in offline mode. The official notice released by Mangalore University also mentions that the revised dates will be declared soon and the dates for remaining exams remain unchanged.

Adding to the COVID crisis, rains in parts of Mangalore have thrown people more into danger. Earlier, rains indicated an alarming situation in low-lying areas. Over 150 houses got waterlogged and as many as 7 cars got dumped in the debris.

Due to such circumstances, travel has become a problem as a result of which exams are bound to postpone the exams. The University will decide on the conduct of remaining exams after having a look at the rain and flood certainty in the aforementioned three districts.
Mangalore University provides various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. It offers M.Sc, MA, MCA, MBA, M.Ed., M.PEd, M.Lib.Sc, M.Com, and MSW and Doctorate in over 20 specializations.
