Mangalayatan University, Jabalpur, has officially opened applications for PhD admissions for the January 2026 academic session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till January 30, 2026. The university will conduct the PhD entrance examination on February 8, 2026, through an online proctored mode with webcam-enabled evaluation.

According to the official notification, admissions to the doctoral programmes will be based on the Mangalayatan University Research Entrance Test (MURET), followed by a personal interview.

Application Fee and Payment Mode
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,500. The payment can be made online, through a demand draft in favour of Mangalayatan University payable at Jabalpur, NEFT, or cash deposit.
PhD Fee Structure
The prescribed fee structure includes:
- Registration Fee: ₹5,000
- Programme Fee: ₹90,000 per year
- Course Work & Synopsis Fee: ₹10,000
- Thesis Submission & Viva Voce: ₹10,000
Mangalayatan University PhD 2026 - Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or M.Phil from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and Differently-Abled categories as per UGC and Government norms.
Interested Aspirants who have qualified UGC-JRF, NET, SET, SELT, or possess an M.Phil degree are exempted from the entrance test and can directly appear for the interview round.
