MAH MBA CET is the state-level entrance examination for admission to MBA and MMS programmes. It provides admission to hundreds of government and private management colleges across Maharashtra. Thousands of aspirants appear for the examination every year to secure admission to leading state B-schools.
The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) received a large number of applications this year. A total of 67,616 candidates registered for the CAP process. Out of these, 56,669 candidates successfully completed document verification.
Only candidates who successfully completed the document verification process appear on the provisional merit list. The list also includes candidates who completed the counselling fee payment. Eligible candidates are listed along with their CAP merit rank and CET score.
Ranks in the provisional merit list are calculated based on the MAH MBA CET 2026 score. Candidates securing the same score are ranked according to the tie-breaking rules prescribed by the CET Cell. The final merit list will reflect corrections made after the grievance redressal process.

What Happens After the Final Merit List?
The State CET Cell will release the final merit list on July 27, 2026. After that, the CAP Round I option form window will open on July 30, 2026.
Candidates will be required to submit their preferred colleges and courses through the online option form. The CAP Round I seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2026.
Choice filling is one of the most important stages of the CAP process. Candidates must arrange colleges in the exact order of preference. The seat-allotment system assigns seats based on the candidate’s CAP merit rank, category, seat availability, and submitted preferences.
Candidates who fail to submit the option form within the specified deadline may lose the opportunity to receive a seat in CAP Round I.
Aspirants should begin researching participating colleges before the option-form window opens. Important factors such as course fees, placement records, college reputation, location, specialisations, and return on investment should be considered while preparing the preference list.
A carefully planned and correctly ordered preference list can significantly improve the chances of securing a preferred college in the MAH MBA CET CAP 2026 counselling process.
