The Maharashtra CET Cell has released the MAH MBA CET CAP 2026 institutional round vacancy list at mba2026.mahacet.org.in. Colleges will now fill vacant MBA and MMS seats directly by September 15 2026.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has released the Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test (MAH MBA CET) 2026 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) institutional round vacancy list. The list has been published on the official portal at mba2026.mahacet.org.in. It shows the seats that remain vacant across participating MBA and MMS colleges after the four regular CAP rounds.
Institutes will now fill these vacant seats directly through the institutional round. Eligible candidates can apply straight to the colleges of their choice. All admissions under this round must be completed by September 15, 2026.
MAH MBA CET 2026 Institutional Round Key Details
The institutional round follows CAP Round 4, which was the final centralised allotment round for MAH MBA CET 2026. The Round 4 seat allotment result was declared on September 3, 2026. The seat acceptance window then ran from September 4 to September 7, 2026.
Seats that stayed unfilled after Round 4 have been carried into the institutional vacancy list. Colleges will now handle these admissions on their own, based on merit and CET rank.
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| CAP Round 4 seat allotment result | September 3, 2026 |
| Round 4 seat acceptance and reporting | September 4 to September 7, 2026 |
| Institutional round vacancy list released | September 10, 2026 |
| Last date to complete institutional admissions | September 15, 2026 |
Who Can Apply in the Institutional Round?
The institutional round is open to candidates who have a valid MAH MBA CET 2026 score or an accepted national-level test score. It is also open to candidates who did not get a seat in CAP or who chose not to accept their Round 4 allotment.
Candidates must also meet the eligibility rules set for the specific college and course. This includes the qualifying degree, minimum marks, and reservation criteria as per state norms.
How to Check the Institutional Round Vacancy List?
Candidates can check the vacancy list online through the official CAP portal. The steps below explain the process.
- Visit the official website at mba2026.mahacet.org.in.
- Click on the link for the institutional round vacancy list.
- Log in using the application ID and password.
- Select the MBA or MMS option to view college-wise vacant seats.
- Download the list for reference before contacting colleges.
How to Apply for Institutional Round Admission?
Applications are submitted directly to the colleges, not through the CET Cell portal. Candidates must approach each college separately with their documents and CET scorecard.
Colleges will prepare their own merit lists from the applications received. Seats will then be offered based on rank, category, and course-level eligibility.
Seat Distribution in Private Unaided Colleges
Private unaided MBA colleges in Maharashtra fill 85 percent of their seats through CAP. The remaining 15 percent is the institute-level or management quota. Vacant CAP seats that carry into the institutional round are filled from this route.
This is the last chance for MBA and MMS aspirants in Maharashtra this year. No further CAP round will be held after Round 4. Candidates who miss the September 15 deadline will have to wait for the next admission cycle.
