LPU Begins PhD Admission 2026; Register by November 15

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has started the registration process for its PhD. Admissions – Spring Term (January 2026 Intake). Aspiring research scholars can apply online and complete the registration process by the last date, 15th November 2025.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in a Master’s degree (as per UGC norms) or those with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with 75% marks and three years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply. A relaxation of 5% marks is available for reserved categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and differently-abled candidates.

The PhD entrance exam will be conducted in a Test centre-based mode. The selection process will be based on the LPUNEST (PhD) entrance test and an interview, with 70% weightage given to the test and 30% to the interview. However, applicants who hold valid qualifications such as UGC NET/JRF, CSIR NET/JRF, GATE, GPAT, or M.Phil. (regular mode) are exempted from the entrance test and will be evaluated solely based on the interview.

Step 1: Submit Application

• Register on the LPU ADMIT portal with details like name, email ID, mobile number, and password.
• Fill out the application form and pay the application fee.

Step 2: Appear for LPUNEST

• Apply for LPUNEST for eligibility and scholarship.
• Book your exam slot and appear for the test.

Step 3: Result & Seat Allotment

• After the results are declared, select your preferred programme.
• Apply and qualify for the interview.
• Seat allotment will be done through counselling on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 4: Admission

• Fill the admission form and pay the initial fee.
• Upload the required documents.
• Pay the remaining fees to confirm admission.
